I have recently become interested in the advent of automated vehicle technologies and the many legal and regulatory issues driverless cars will raise. Supported by a grant from the Michigan Mobility Transformation Center, my colleagues Kyle Logue, Bryce Pilz and I recently hosted a conference on driverless cars and have a draft paper on the legal and regulatory framework, which can be downloaded from SSRN here.
